Rachele Restivo is an Italian showrunner and program creator. She is featured on channels Italia1 and Rete4 of Mediaset Group, the largest broadcaster in Italy.
She is the showrunner, creator, and host of the documentary TV show PENSA IN GRANDE, currently on air on channel Rete4. PENSA IN GRANDE tells the stories of successful Italian entrepreneurs and their brands. Through their voice PENSA IN GRANDE enhances the lives of those who have made the “Made in Italy” catchphrase shine all over the world. Entrepreneurs such as the interior designer Riva 1920, the fashion designer Elisabetta Franchi, Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali, Capri Chantecler jewelry, Pastificio Di Martino Pasta di Gragnano, awarded distillery Nonino grappa, awarded Monini olive oil, the Asiago Brazzale family, Vannucci Piante, and more stories have been written by Rachele. PENSA IN GRANDE inspires the visionary in all of us and puts the viewer on the path of making their dreams a reality.
Rachele was also the host and producer of the top rated television program MISTERO for ten consecutive series from 2009 until 2016. MISTERO was a hugely popular long running hit documentary TV show, which hosted international pop stars, dived into the controversial yet greatest love stories in cinema like Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, Jacqueline and John Kennedy, Ava Gardner and Frank Sinatra, and even revisited the mysterious deaths of many Hollywood stars such as Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Judy Garland, Elvis Presley, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson. She uncovered the fascinating life stories of popular singers such as: Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna. For the first five seasons of MISTERO Rachele played the role of the “Oracle”, a fairy character, an intriguing and sensuous figure that recited famous quotes, a role that made MISTERO a cult classic and top rated show.
Rachele was the showrunner, creator, and host of a show called PASSION, which became another top-rated show on channel Italia1 in 2010. This dynamic talk show which featured female guests opened up a dialogue about the challenges of relationships in modern society. Rachele gave voice to women’s emotions in which “Passion” was the protagonist.
In 2005 Rachele joined channel La7 News as a news correspondent. In her two years as a journalist she reported on hundreds of stories. In addition to her responsibilities at La7 News, she wrote, produced, and anchored “Estati Italiane”, a segment of OMNIBUS, the popular morning show on Channel La7, interviewing leading characters in the entertainment industry and Italian culture.
Rachele received a doctoral degree in Public Relations from Communication Sciences University IULM of Milan. She is also a musician, holding a degree in violin and voice from music conservatory. Rachele is a talented, dedicated, and accomplished professional writer and host. She has a particular allure that shines on camera. Her ability to give depth and rhythm to compelling stories keeps any audience riveted. Her biggest inspirations come from director Vittorio De Sica, and the great Italian actress Sophia Loren.
Rachele has lived in Milan, New York and Los Angeles, and now resides in Roma, the city of her heart.
